Morning Buns - 20th of September

Falls Church Education Foundation is hosting a FUN RUN on the 20th of September. Find Kristina selling morning buns at the parking lot behind Stylish Patina on 301 Park Avenue from 07:00 a.m.

Cinnamon Buns

The most classic of Swedish Treats

Vaccuum Cleaners

They are called vacuum cleaners because they were traditionally made with leftover cookies not sold. Then mixed with butter and punsch.

Cardamom Buns

Cardamom is a favorite spice among Swedes. Similar to the cinnamonbon - but different. 

Chocolate Balls

The first thing that kids learn to bake since they're made without an oven. Based on oats with a coffee and chocolate taste. 

Raspberry Caves

Similar to a thumbprint cookie but more buttery and with a raspberry ”cave”.

Chocolate Cuts

A traditional cookie that is baked in long strips and then cut when they are warm. 

Saffron buns

Traditionally made for Lucia on the 13th of December they are a soft, lightly sweetened bun infused with saffron.

Gingerbread cookies

Swedish Gingerbread cookies taste different with spices like cardamom, cinnamon, clover and ginger and they aer usually also thinner. 


Available Late November to December only 

Semlor

Traditionally serviced before the Christian fasting period of Lent. It is a sweet cardamom-spiced wheat bun. It’s then filled with an almond filling and topped off with whipped cream. 


Available Semla-season only (Januari/February)
